At the time of writing, this is arguably my favourite Indian Restaurant in Newcastle.
Inside The Gate complex in the centre of Newcastle, the nearest car park is in the basement of the complex. Access
is off Stowell Street. There are several wide disabled bays on the two levels, but it should be noted that charges apply,
even for disabled drivers.
The restaurant is located on the first floor which is accessed via a lift from the car park and the ground floor of The
Gate.
There are no doors as you enter the restaurant, which has tables on two levels. Make sure you request a low floor
table when you book, as the upstairs dining area is inaccessible for wheelchair users.
There is plenty of room for me to get my wheelchair around and under the tables.
There is an accessible toilet within the restaurant, locked by a RADAR key, as well as in the general complex
toilets, just to the side of the entrance to the restaurant.
Freshly cooked Indian fayre is on offer, and I've never had a bad meal there in numerous visits.
