An excellent, accessible restaurant on Newcastle Quayside near the Millennium Bridge.
We parked our car in the multi-storey car park on Sandgate (50p to 70p per hour, depending on time), where there were
disabled parking bays with transfer areas. There is yellow line restricted parking near the restaurant.
The restaurant entrance is about 100 yards away down wide footpaths with a slight gradient. There are large double
doors and level access throughout the ground floor.
Ensure you mention your access need when you book, as some tables are upstairs and at some tables on the ground
floor, guests sit at high stools.
There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor, although it should be noted that the transfer area is only 60cm wide.
We had an excellent meal at about £35 per head, including drinks, although you could choose from the pizza/pasta menu
for a less expensive treat.
If you are fond of great puddings, I'd strongly recommend the Nutella and Mascapone Calzone - yes, it's just like the
folded pizza you're perhaps more familiar with!
